OPERATIONS HUB MANAGER NORTHERN EU -(based in Strängnas Sweden)

The scope of your responsibilities will be to manage, coordinate and leading Northern Europe Service Centres. Client’s Global operations Headquarter is based in Paris.

The role

This position will be working in a fast paced and technologically evolving manufacturing environment with a strong managerial role, running a lot of projects, launching new products and improving productivity and quality, efficiency driving change & people empowerment with a lean approach. Your role will be to manage and lead Northern operation hub by supervising 5 sites.
Reporting to the regional Business Unit Director and functionally to the European Industrial Director serving 2 Sales Regions & 2 Business lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES for the whole HUB
• Manage, coordinate and lead 5 Service Centres, organized in two sales regions. It is key to avoid any customer conflict and impact. Defining and implementing the optimized organization to improve operation’s efficiency. This will be supported by a network of regional coordinators.
• Responsible for (HUB and each site): health and Safety, product quality, Security compliance (local and/or international schemes), service level and productivity flows.
• Participate in the annual Budget preparation (standard cost) being responsible for the monthly forecast processes (volume and headcount, GM forecast).
• Master the capacity and resources consumption of every site: adjustments according to the volume evolution; adapt processes and machinery to meet requirements; cooperate with Service Line regional director and Corporate Operations support teams; optimize loan balance within sites.
• Achieve annual budget, Gross margin and production variance targets, responsible for any required corrective actions.
• Achieve, with the local teams, the operational KPIs objectives (scorecard / webtool). Motivate and engage the resources to meet quality and service expected by the customers.
• Develop improvement activities using best practice methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing).
• Work closely with the country sales team.
• Responsible for quality and security compliance, of the Service Centre and related certifications.
• Communication and reporting
With the support of the local teams, SPOC and HUB coordinators
• Reports, Calculations and budget, monthly reports and forecast: volume and headcount, KPIs and GM. Corrective plans. FTE and equipment calculations. Cost price calculations. CAPEX. Investment request. Monitoring OPS and pre-production budget.
• People management, manage and coach local managers, performance management, development (bonus, new assignment, people assessment), SIM cycles, meetings (production, board, management review), regular communication to all Service Centre employees.
• Quality assurance, ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS-18001 and CQM certification. Handling non compliances. Looking for efficiency improvements.
• Security compliance, ensuring scheme certification. Member of the Security Management Group.
• Maintenance, assuring availability of all equipment in all sites.
• Deploying the necessary competence at the appropriate level among sites in Preproduction and IT departments.
• Handling all daily business / issues

Your profile

Educational Background

Engineering background, degree or equivalent experience.
With a specialization either/and/or in Packaging, Printing, Electromechanical, Industrial Engraving Marking, Automobiles, Digitalization/ Embedded technology solutions.
Ideally consolidated practitioner of best practice methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, 6 Sigma) and Quality /Safety Management Systems (ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS-18001 and CQM certification)

Experience

The ideal candidate (M/F) will have a successful career path as site manager or Service Centre Manager (5 years minimum). Experience in electric / electronic industry / Embedded Technologies / Flows Industry such logistics/Supply chain. Strong Leadership of multicultural teams. High International exposure within matrix organization,

Languages

Swedish and English perfectly fluent. Other languages such Norwegian, French can be a plus.
